The Project Manager for Operations & Procurement will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing various projects related to operations and procurement within the aerospace and defence sector. This role requires a deep understanding of industry standards, supply chain management, and project management principles to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in meeting project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project status, issues, and successes to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth project execution.
- Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Procurement Management:
- Develop and manage procurement strategies to support project requirements.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
- Monitor and manage procurement budgets and expenses.
Mandatory skill sets:
