Job Description

As an SDE 2 - Backend at FanCode, you will build high-performance, scalable software platforms. Responsibilities include developing and owning product components from inception to scaling, supporting new requirements, and re-architectures. You'll collaborate with product and engineering leaders, implement platform vision, and continuously evaluate new technologies. FanCode's tech stack includes AWS, Cloudfront, API Gateway, NGINX, Node.js/Java, Redis, ElastiCache, MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, Spark, and Redshift. The role requires expertise in building and scaling software, working with databases, and implementing RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in software development and strong skills in algorithms, data structures, and web frameworks.

Must have:

4-6 years hands-on coding experience (Java/Node.js preferred)
Proficiency in algorithms and advanced data structures
Strong relational and NoSQL database skills
Experience with web frameworks and RESTful APIs

Besides these, we heavily use Kafka, Spark, Redshift and other cutting edge tech to keep improving FanCode's performance. As a data-driven team, we also use R, Python and other big data technologies for Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics.

Your Role:

Building high performance and scalable software platforms
Developing and owning product components – from inception to production to scaling up, supporting new requirements, re-architectures
Work with leaders in Product and Engineering to drive and implement platform and product vision
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency

Must Have:

4-6 years of hands-on coding and expertise in any programming language, preferably Java / Node.js
Proficiency in implementation of algorithms and use of advanced data structures
Strong relational and NoSQL database skills
Hands on experience on Web framework and RESTful APIs
