Summary

As an Indirect Tax VAT Senior Manager at PwC, you'll work with clients to understand their business and tax needs, providing tailored recommendations. Responsibilities include VAT compliance services and advice, preparing and reviewing VAT returns, reviewing tax assessments, assisting during tax audits, delivering VAT reporting, identifying and minimizing compliance risks, staying informed on VAT laws, and liaising with tax authorities. You'll leverage your expertise to ensure clients maintain transparency, accountability, and sustainability. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, along with a client-oriented approach. A Master's degree in a relevant field (law, taxation, economics, etc.) and at least 3 years of experience are necessary.

As an Indirect Tax VAT Consultant,  you’ll have impact by:

  • working with clients to understand their business and tax/VAT needs and providing the adapted recommendations
  • providing VAT compliance services and advice, as well as preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  • reviewing tax assessments, assisting clients during tax audits and delivering VAT reporting
  • identifying risks and minimizing potential compliance issues
  • being informed on the current VAT laws as well as their potential impact on our clients
  • liaising with tax authorities regarding administration issues and preparing the needed documentation to be submitted to the authorities

About you

  • You have a Master's degree in law, taxation, (applied) economics, commercial engineering or business studies. Qualification in tax would be a bonus;
  • Ideally you have minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
  • You have good language skills in Dutch, English and French;
  • You have good negotiation, communication, writing and analytical skills;
  • You are client-orientated and have the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships;
  • You are motivated, dynamic, and able to work both independently and in a team.
