The Toronto Sales & Distribution team at Lionsgate is seeking a forward-thinking intern for a project-driven role. Responsibilities include creating a "territory overview" focusing on ad-supported and hybrid streaming models, gathering competitive analysis of content platforms, reviewing historical data to identify trends, assisting with content activations, and participating in sales meetings. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Film & Television, exceptional communication skills, and an analytical mindset. The internship runs from June 10th to August 15th, 2025 (10 weeks) and is paid at $18 CAD per hour. Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and available for the full duration of the program.

Summary of Position

Our Toronto Sales & Distribution team is seeking a forward-thinking candidate able to thrive in a dynamic team environment. An internship role with our team will be project-driven and the ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Film & Television, exceptional communication skills and have an analytical mindset. 

 

Under the direction of the Executive Vice President & Managing Director and along with our Toronto-based team the Candidate will be responsible for researching and coordinating several key projects while reporting into our Manager, TV Sales and Distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Create a “territory overview” for the intern’s Final Project. This year’s Final Project will be focused on ad-supported and hybrid streaming models
  • Gather competitive analysis of local and global content platforms
  • Review historical data in order to communicate insights and marketplace trends 
  • Assist team members with content activations on a regular basis 
  • Participate in internal local and global sales meetings, as requested

Skills

  • Ideally working towards a degree or diploma in Media, Film, Marketing, Business or Finance 
  • Excellent communication, writing and analysis 
  • Excel and Power Point experience required
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous internship or related experience considered an asset

All interns are required to attend orientation on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025.

Details

  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Graduate students are eligible to apply
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
  • Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office

Compensation
