The International Ad Sales team at Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a dynamic International Sales Executive to drive revenue from UK-based clients and agencies managing international budgets. This role involves supporting senior executives, managing client relationships, developing creative advertising solutions across multiple platforms (TV, web, app, social media), and contributing to the successful implementation of sales campaigns. Responsibilities include prospecting, deal progression, campaign planning, performance monitoring, and reporting. The ideal candidate possesses media experience, strong communication and presentation skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of the WBD brand portfolio.

Your New Role...

The UK business is going through a major transformation, pivoting from being almost 100% linear to being digital first, and our Sales team needs to reflect that.  As a complement to our 3rd party sales reps we are building an innovative, passionate and industry respected in-house Ad Sales team.

Within this dynamic and fast-growing department, the International Ad Sales team is responsible for driving revenue direct from clients and agencies based in the UK but with responsibility for International, Pan-Regional or Multi-local budgets, delivering creative solutions to clients briefs utilising every aspect of our business from channels to streaming, from entertainment to kids, from films to sport and gaming.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Consider the pipeline of business, building and managing effective relationships through to progressing deals
  • Support the senior exec & manager in the delivery of international team revenue objectives, working across multi-platform TV, web, app and social media opportunities, through advertising, content creation & on-ground activation
  • Working with the Sales Director and sales team, you will support the sales process from prospecting through to deal implementation and securing repeat client investment
  • You will be responsible for managing and assisting the successful coordination of client partnerships, including research, generating ideas, problem-solving, building pitch and analyses materials, planning campaign activity, booking, implementing, monitoring, and reporting performances directly with clients, agencies and vendors
  • Develop strong relationships and maintain regular contact with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Acquire comprehensive understanding and ongoing knowledge of the global WBD brand portfolio, sales rationale, and evolving developments
  • Responsibility for any other ad-hoc duties required by the Sales Director, across the sales team and global WBD network
  • Build relationships with wider team by travelling to other territories for workshops, training, and sales meetings

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Likely to have at least 18 months experience in Media or broadcast: in Media Agencies, Client-side or media owner
  • A strong team player
  • Able to build positive relationships both internally and with external partner
  • Has strong attention to detail, is precise
  • Has a structured and organised mindset
  • Creative
  • Presentation skills
  • Skilled with office tools – strong excel skills required.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive outlook

  • Knowledge of Warner Bros. Discovery and the Media industry
  • Demonstrates good consumer understanding and insights
  • Watches TV whether that be linear or VOD
  • With support from manager, comfortable starting to take the initiative 
  • Has ambition, passion and enthusiasm
  • Results driven

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
