Job Description

The IT Helpdesk Engineer at Zscaler provides technical assistance and support for incoming IT requests related to computer systems, applications, services, software, LAN, WAN, and hardware. Responsibilities include resolving technical issues for employees, managing PC/laptop setup and deployment for new hires, maintaining daily performance monitoring of computer systems, and managing software licenses. The role requires excellent service skills and collaboration within a technical helpdesk team. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in IT Helpdesk and a strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.), Microsoft technologies (Exchange, Windows OS, Office), and excellent problem solving skills.

We're looking for an experienced IT Helpdesk Engineer reporting to Manager of Global Service Desk. you will be responsible for:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for all incoming IT Helpdesk requests and issues related to computer systems, application, services, software, LAN, WAN and hardware either in person or remotely over the phone.
  • You will be a part of our technical helpdesk team by providing excellent service and resolving all technical issues for our employees.
  • You'll manage PC/Laptop setup and deployment for new employees with standard hardware, images, and software.
  • Maintain daily performance, monitoring of computer systems, inventory and software license.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 3-8 years experience in IT Helpdesk.
  • Background in TCP/IP, IP networking knowledge, i.e. IP subnet, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH.
  • Microsoft Exchange / Gmail, Microsoft Windows OS, and Office Applications

What We're Looking for (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Knowledge of Phone System, VoIP, VMWare ESX/ESXi, vSphere, vCenter and VMware Server
  • Experience in Linux OS and basic services i.e. Apache/HTTPD, SSHD, SAMBA
  • Microsoft Active Directory experience and Windows networking.
