Lead Jagex's Corporate IT ecosystem, driving innovation, resilience, and world-class service delivery. Own the strategy, modernize the tech stack, building a cloud-first infrastructure. Lead a team of engineers, shaping solutions enhancing performance, security, and efficiency. Translate business needs into IT capabilities, spearhead initiatives, and champion automation and next-gen security. Orchestrate vendor relationships, drive cost efficiency, and ensure Jagex stays ahead. Responsibilities include infrastructure & service management, cloud & network management, project & delivery management, security, compliance & risk management, team leadership & development, stakeholder & vendor management, and financial acumen & budget management.
Must have:
  • Manage enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Expertise in Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux
  • VMware, Hyper-V, cloud infrastructure experience
  • Networking expertise (firewalls, VPNs, etc.)
  • Lead and develop IT infrastructure teams
  • ITIL service management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management

Are you ready to lead the evolution of IT infrastructure at a leader in the gaming industry? As IT Infrastructure Lead, you will be at the helm of Jagex’s Corporate IT ecosystem, driving innovation, resilience, and world-class service delivery.

Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll translate business needs into cutting-edge IT capabilities, spearhead transformational initiatives, and champion automation, governance, and next-gen security.

Your influence extends beyond internal teams, you’ll orchestrate high-value vendor relationships, drive cost efficiency, and enforce service excellence, ensuring that Jagex stays ahead in a competitive and fast-moving industry. What you'll be doing:

Infrastructure & Service Management:

  • Own, manage, and optimize Jagex’s Corporate IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Architect and maintain cloud and on-prem environments (Azure, VMware, Windows Server, Linux) with a focus on scalability and resilience.
  • Implement best-in-class identity and access management solutions using Active Directory, Azure AD, and Zero Trust frameworks.
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and self-service capabilities to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Develop robust disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies to minimize downtime and maximize resilience.
  • Define and track performance metrics to uphold SLAs and service excellence

Cloud & Network Management:

  • Lead and execute IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Define clear project scopes, objectives, risks, and deliverables, collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive success.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage Agile and hybrid methodologies to enhance project efficiency and team performance

Project and Delivery Management:

  • Lead and execute IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and status updates.
  • Define clear project scopes, objectives, risks, and deliverables, collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive success.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively, incorporating post-mortem reviews and lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage Agile and hybrid methodologies to enhance project efficiency and team performance.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring robust endpoint protection, patching, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.)
  • Partner with Cybersecurity teams to strengthen Zero Trust security, cloud security, and incident response capabilities.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and career progression pathways to empower team members.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

  • Act as the primary escalation point for critical infrastructure issues and executive support needs.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to align IT infrastructure strategies with company goals and support business transformation initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.
  • Drive adoption of new technologies and lead change management initiatives.

Financial Acumen & Budget Management:

  • Manage IT infrastructure budgets, leveraging cost-optimization strategies (FinOps) to enhance efficiency and maximize ROI on cloud and on-premises investments.
  • Track costs, forecast expenditure, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies in collaboration with finance teams and stakeholders.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including cloud, networking, storage, and virtualization.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux administration.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud-based infrastructure services.
  • Networking expertise, including firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, Switches, DNS, DHCP, and Zero Trust security models.
  • Experience leading and developing IT infrastructure teams.
  • ITIL-based service management experience, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and third-party services.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native security (e.g., Azure Security Centre, Defender for Cloud, SIEM solutions).
