As a Lead Development Representative (LDR) at Milestone Systems, you will play a crucial role in identifying and qualifying potential customers, primarily leveraging events and the company website. Responsibilities include lead generation, needs assessment, and distributing qualified leads to the sales team. You will prospect, research, and identify new leads through various channels (cold calling, email, social media). While not involving direct face-to-face customer interaction, you will engage with customers via phone and MS Teams, building rapport and understanding their needs. Effective time management, Salesforce proficiency, and strong communication skills are essential. The role involves a high volume of outreach, requiring resilience and persistence. Success will be measured by lead quality and contribution to the sales pipeline.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for lead generation and qualification, with a particular focus on leveraging events and our website as lead sources. As a Lead Development Representative (LDR), you will play a crucial role in identifying potential customers, evaluating their needs, and effectively distributing qualified leads to our sales organization.

The LDR will join our Global Leads Generation team. As part of this team, you play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our leads qualification process to optimize our revenue stream. Your main responsibility will be: 

  • To secure a high-quality lead qualification of incoming leads (from events and website) and distributing these to your sales colleagues in the regions.

What you’ll do on a day-to-day basis:  

  • Prospecting, researching, and identifying new leads by using a variety of approaches and through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking.
  • While you won't have face-to-face customer interactions, you will have the opportunity to interact with customers over the phone and MS Teams, building relationships and providing valuable insights. 
  • Identifying key decision makers within these prospects and determine the potential of leads to Once leads are qualified, LDRs hand them off to the sales team for further engagement and closing. Moving prospects through the top of the sales funnel by setting appointments with the sales team. 
  • Building rapport and understanding customer needs are essential to the LDR role utilising key customer service skills combined with sales techniques and strategies.
  • Sales Development representative will be required to manage their time effectively to meet targets and deadlines. 
  • Engaging proactively with and coordinating with the sales team to develop and grow the sales pipeline. 
  • Capturing all relevant information in Salesforce with strong attention to detail when managing leads, tracking interactions, and maintaining accurate records. 
  • Managing the team inbox to answer and route inquiries to the appropriate team. 

What we imagine the ideal candidate profile to look like: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not strictly necessary 
  • Minimum 1-2 years sales experience with a track record of exceeding targets and KPI’s. Sales experience can be diverse and acquired from various sources, and if you have experience with outbound phone calls it is an additional advantage 
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal is minimum requirement.  Fluency in other EMEA languages is preferable.  Please specify each language using the CEFR Proficiency Scale.
  • Experience with SalesForce is an advantage. 
  • The role involves a high volume of outreach which can be challenging, so resilience and persistence are important. 
  • A desire to learn and grow in the sales field
