We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) Canada team at Mercer. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least 3 days a week in the office.

The Small Market Employers (SME) Leader at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) Canada is a strategic leadership role within the MMB team. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the SME team within the Canadian health business, including strategy, operation and staffing. Critical to success in this role is a laser-like focus on achieving revenue growth, operational excellence and colleague engagement targets. Reporting directly to the MMB Canada Leader, the SME Leader also has a strong connection with the MMB global SME leader.

We will count on you to:

  • Provide direction, focus, and accountability to the SME team, driving engagement through frequent communication and dialogue.

  • Lead business transformation initiatives to position MMB Canada as a market leader in the SME segment, overseeing the SME offering/carriers panel.

  • Define and implement long-term business strategies aligned with global and regional goals to contribute to financial success.

  • Manage client revenue profitability by establishing pricing guidelines and efficient processes, while supporting and driving internal and external sales efforts.

  • Lead key client engagements, directing project teams and developing strategic solutions to address client needs, while also managing overall service delivery.
