Job Summary
The North America Market Channel Business Planning team works with channel sales leadership, product category teams along with a wide range of internal support organizations to define, manage and operationally execute business plans against defined strategic objectives. As a member of the team, you will engage closely with channel sales leaders to drive business execution excellence on a daily basis. In this role you will work closely with the NA Channel Sales team to develop insights to drive and improve business performance. This position is highly visible, provides broad exposure to a multi-billion dollar business and will expose you to a broad range of business issues and challenges. This is a complex, demanding and rapidly evolving business environment that requires analytic dexterity and creativity, a demonstrated ability to engage with and influence a wide range of individuals both inside and outside the organization as well as serve as a trusted business advisor to senior sales leaders in the NA market.
Responsibilities
You will drive and manage the recurring business forecasting process, analyze a continuous stream of complex and detailed data to identify trends and track and assess the performance of the business. The individual in this role will work closely with sales leaders and other business planners to develop, execute and evaluate business plans, evaluate compensation plans and coverage alternatives and define and drive projects to increase operational efficiency.
You will be expected to utilize data from a variety of sources, with minimal direction, to objectively assess business performance relative to internal plans and the external market. In addition, the individual in this role will provide on-going business operational support, including ad-hoc projects, for one or more route-to-market sales leaders.
Engagement with individuals within the channel sales team as well as across functions ranging from finance, sales comp, sales operations, business planning, market intelligence, and others is essential to gain a broad understanding of this very complex business and be able to provide insightful recommendations.
Managing large data sets, from multiple sources, and being able to summarize and present your findings concisely to an executive level audience will be one of your keys to success.
This role will require you to be proactive in developing relationships cross functionally and working at a detail level to understand to evaluate complex data sets, assess trends and generate business insights to inform and guide the business decisions by your sales leaders.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in strategy, planning, operations, market research, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
