In this role, you will join Intel's Client Computing Group (CCG) as part of the Platform Hardware and Package Engineering team, focusing on delivering Edge reference solutions. As a PCB Librarian, you will be part of a team responsible for developing Edge reference platforms utilizing Intel Client architecture, to enable customers and proof-of-concept models for emerging technologies.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Develops PCB parts and components for designs, 3D models, and logical symbols following specifications provided.
- Creates and updates parts, connectors, sockets, and mechanical components.
- Maintains library servers, repository of parts, and validates library parts for accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Applies knowledge of trending technology, materials, fabrication, and assembly processes to conform to design for manufacturing principles and improves the design process.
- Drives design verification and propose process improvements to ensure PCB functionality and quality.
- Manages all aspects of the component lifecycle and maintains strategic roadmaps for critical PCB parts and components.
- Collaborates with PCBA manufacturers, electrical, and components engineers to resolve component related issues and provides user support on tools and processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in PCB library development.
- Proficient with Cadence tool suites relevant to developing schematic and layout symbols.
- Advanced English level.
Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico (the position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship).
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Familiarity with Intel DFM guidelines.
- Experience working with adjacent engineering domains such as PCB Layout and Hardware Engineering.
