Job Description

ByteDance's Global Payment UED team is seeking a talented Product Designer to join their team and enhance the payment experience for users worldwide. You'll be responsible for designing and improving payment products for both mobile and web platforms, ensuring scalability, consistency, and a user-centric approach. You'll also be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from planning to implementation. The role requires strong design skills, experience in UI/UX design, and a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or higher
Strong design principles knowledge
Proven UI/UX design experience
Portfolio showcasing design skills
Familiarity with localization and accessibility
Proficient in design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.)

Good to have:

Experience in the tech sector
Knowledge of design systems
Keen eye on design trends
Experience with cutting-edge technologies

We are looking for a talented mobile app or web-based product designer to provide the best payment service experience at ByteDance. You will have the opportunity to explore, conceptualize, communicate, collaborate, execute and ultimately improve the quality of our products. Responsibilities - Drive the innovation of design and the improvement of user experience across all payment products - Create high quality designs that are scalable for mobile and web-based products - Take ownership of design quality, consistency and improve the visual language and actively contribute to the design system - Engage stakeholders and cross-functional teams in customer centric design process and be highly involved in the entire product life-cycle from product planning, detail design to implementation

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) educational background - Strong foundation of design and basic design principles (typography, color, iconography, interaction patterns) - Proven experience in UI design, visual design (visual language, design system) preferably within the tech sector - Portfolio with prior work experience that demonstrates your ability to turn complex problems into simple solutions - Familiarity with localisation, internationalisation and accessibility - Having a keen eye on design trends and cutting edge technologies - Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop or AI etc ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $140000 - $250000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
