As the Product Director for Helldivers 2, you’ll be at the heart of enhancing the player experience, guiding the development of monetization and retention systems while ensuring our players remain engaged and satisfied. Your focus on player-centric progression and monetization will be critical, as you provide concrete insights and actionable solutions to the Chief Product Officer and Game Director. Drawing inspiration from other successful games, you’ll be cherry picking best practices for Helldivers 2, pitching innovative ideas that will shape our game’s direction and resonate with our community. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead the development and execution of monetization and retention strategies, crafting a clear vision for how these systems will function within the game. * Oversee Helldivers 2’s performance metrics, ensuring that player needs are at the forefront of our business models. * Dive into player feedback and data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, translating insights into actionable strategies that enhance gameplay and elevate the player experience. * Collaborate with the Game Director to set measurable goals, providing concrete suggestions and direction for design solutions that tackle complex challenges related to the metagame and monetization. * Drive roadmap and core product prioritization for retention and monetisation initiatives. * Work closely with marketing, sales, and production teams to execute strategies that boost player engagement and ensure we achieve our objectives, serving as a key liaison to facilitate effective communication across all teams. * Establish and track team goals, sharing insights and feedback from a player perspective to drive engagement and retention. * Promote ethical monetization practices that respect player trust and align with our commitment to a fantasy-first development philosophy. * Share your knowledge and best practices with our team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous learning that keeps player satisfaction as the ultimate goal. * While advocating a vision-driven and fantasy-first approach to our development, you will also keep an eye on industry trends and competitor offerings to inform our tactics and development.
Must have:
  • Proven experience in product management or a related role in the gaming industry, especially with live service games.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and compelling product strategies focused on player needs.
  • A hands-on approach to game design and development, ready to propose innovative and creative solutions that enhance player experiences and address complex monetization issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and inspire those around you to keep players at the heart of our work.

We’re on the hunt for a passionate and resourceful Product Director to join our Helldivers 2 team at Arrowhead Game Studios. Your Mission:

As the Product Director for Helldivers 2, you’ll be at the heart of enhancing the player experience, guiding the development of monetization and retention systems while ensuring our players remain engaged and satisfied. Your focus on player-centric progression and monetization will be critical, as you provide concrete insights and actionable solutions to the Chief Product Officer and Game Director.     Note: While this position is for a Product Director, we are also open to considering experienced Senior Product Managers or Product Managers if you recognize yourself and your experience in the job description and you have a strong passion for player-centered game design.   • Previous experience within from game development within design, game direction, analytics and / or insights

Practical Information

Scope: Full-time: 40 hours per week with initial 6 month probation period.
Location: Office first, hybrid solution possible. You need to be eligble to work in Sweden.


We are a pet friendly office! You can expect to find dogs and occasionally some cats around.
