Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 6 years of experience in Cloud Computing
- 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
- Experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
- 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
- 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 3 years of people management experience with direct reports, and in technical leadership.
- 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.

The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.
We prioritize security, efficiency, and reliability across everything we do - from developing our latest TPUs to running a global network, while driving towards shaping the future of hyperscale computing. Our global impact spans software and hardware, including Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, the leading AI platform for bringing Gemini models to enterprise customers.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Driving new capabilities for the VM instances in cloud including intercepting new technologies, road map planning, business growth forecasting, ecosystem, and customer adoption.
- Be responsible for the product strategy for the VM Instance including the associated business outcomes including presenting to key leadership inside Google Cloud Platform.
- Work across Hardware, Software, Research and Product teams towards long term product goals. Understand the competitive dynamics and industry trends on where the innovation is happening for both workloads and hardware.
- Provide data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives.
- Drive new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer and deliver innovation for Google Cloud.
