About the job:
As a Product Manager II, Geo Auto Experiences, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap for key driving features accessed by drivers in a range of vehicle makes and models, including electric vehicles. You will collaborate with engineering, design, research, and data science teams to develop, test, and launch new products and features. You will ensure that there is an understanding of driver needs and pain points, identifying opportunities for product improvement. You will also collaborate with business development to understand automotive industry trends and needs, and ensure integration of products within vehicles around the world. You will identify and mitigate product risks, ensuring on-time and high-quality product delivery. You will communicate product progress and key findings to stakeholders at all levels, including leadership, engineering, and marketing teams.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, research, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational perspectives
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and investigative skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good to have:
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • Experience in consumer facing product development in navigation, driving, geospatial or automotive domains

As a Product Manager, you'll drive the roadmap for key driving features accessed by drivers in a range of vehicle makes and models, including electric vehicles. You'll collaborate with engineers, designers, partnerships, researchers, and data scientists to build intuitive, driver-centric experiences.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

Responsibilities
