Job Description

As a Product Manager II at Coursera, you'll drive product innovation by enhancing user experience and team efficiency. Job Overview:
As an IC3 Product Manager II at Coursera, you will drive product innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance user experience and team efficiency. You will manage product strategies, prioritize features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with our broader product vision. Your focus will be on user-centric design, data-driven decisions, and the smooth coordination of new feature rollouts.

You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative environment, advocating for continuous improvement, and ensuring our product offerings remain competitive. This position is crucial for driving the success and evolution of Coursera’s products within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining authentic, immersive learning environments that grant millions of learners globally access to industry-standard tools
  • Devising new and innovative learning experiences that leverage Generative AI to help learners bridge theory to practice and drive engagement
  • Communicating effectively and cogently with all relevant internal and external stakeholders via PRDs, Slack, quarterly and annual roadmaps, Jira tickets, or by whatever means necessary to ensure alignment.
  • Managing tight cross-functional relationships with marketing, leadership, data science, design, engineering, partnership managers, sales, and more.
  • Lead product innovation initiatives to improve user experience and team efficiency.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritizing features to align with user needs and business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive product strategies and requirements for key features.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to drive seamless product execution.
  • Conduct user research and analyze feedback to advocate for user-centric design and inform decision-making.
  • Create and oversee go-to-market plans for new features to ensure successful rollouts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong PM fundamentals (ability to drive product strategy, strong background in data analysis, strong project execution, highly effective cross-functional collaborator)
  • Experience in a role where detailed and often complex technical execution was required to get features to market
  • Experience with product management, including developing and prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Demonstrated history of collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, design, marketing).
  • Background in conducting user research and making data-driven product decisions.
  • Proficiency in developing and communicating product strategies and requirements.
  • Experience coordinating go-to-market plans and feature rollouts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience either volunteering in the education sector in some capacity or working in the education sector directly.
  • Prior exposure to developing products with GenAI.
  • Advanced knowledge of product management frameworks like RICE.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools and A/B testing.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and basic database concepts.Experience using market analysis tools such as Crunchbase.
  • Strong advocacy for user-centric design and experience working with UX designers.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Compensation
Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. This role's targeted hiring base salary range is between $116,000 and 146,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
