Job Description

Onward Search seeks a highly motivated Project Manager for a part-time, remote role in consumer product and gaming merchandise. Responsibilities include implementing project management tools (Trello, Asana, Monday.com), developing detailed schedules and timelines, tracking product development stages (apparel, board games, hard/soft goods), managing risks and delays, collaborating with internal teams, providing status updates, optimizing project processes, and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in consumer product development, strong communication and organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join a growing team within the consumer product and gaming merchandise space. This part-time, remote role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the development of innovative products and implement key project management processes to drive success.

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining and managing the end-to-end development of consumer products, focusing on ensuring timely delivery, tracking milestones, and optimizing workflows. With your expertise in project management, you will work alongside a dynamic team to bring high-quality gaming and geek culture merchandise to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management System Implementation
Select and implement project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com) to streamline workflows and timelines.
Maintain project dashboards for visibility across teams and leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Project Planning & Tracking

Develop detailed work-back schedules, timelines, and milestones for multiple concurrent projects.

Track product development stages, including apparel, board games, and both hard and soft goods.

Identify, communicate, and solve risks, delays, or issues to keep projects on track and within scope.

Communication & Accountability

Collaborate with internal teams (Product Development, Marketing, etc.) to align on priorities and ensure successful project execution.

Follow up with team members on deliverables and escalate challenges when necessary.

Provide regular project status updates to leadership, highlighting progress and potential roadblocks.

Process Optimization

Establish and implement repeatable project management processes within a small, growing team.

Continuously improve efficiency in tracking production timelines and managing deadlines.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in consumer product development or a related field.
Skills:
Proficiency with project management tools such as Trello, Asana, and Monday.com.
Strong understanding of project workflows, timelines, and milestone tracking.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify risks, prioritize tasks, and maintain accountability across teams.
