ABOUT PLAYTESTCLOUD

PlaytestCloud’s Player Insights Platform™ enables game studios to improve their games by providing feedback from real players. Over 60% of the top-grossing game studios have tested their games with PlaytestCloud.

🏆 We’re the premier user testing provider for games. We help game studios worldwide make the best games they possibly can.

🏆 We build our own technology that adds screencast recording, security features, and player instructions to games.

🏆 We’re bootstrapped and profitable, with 400+ paying game studios and 1,000,000+ playtesters.

🏆 We offer player insights to a wide range of mobile and PC developers

THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Research Operations Coordinator (f/m/d) to play a key role in shaping the next generation of gaming experiences in South America. You'll be at the heart of making games great, using your technical expertise to plan, set up, troubleshoot, and run playtests with our in-house software. You’ll also engage directly with clients to ensure their vision aligns with the testing process and to deliver impactful insights for their games.

As one of our first team members in South America, you’ll help expand our support for North American clients. Since most of your team will be in Europe, you’ll need to work independently and manage your time effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

🚀 Automated Playtest Monitoring & Support: Actively monitor the performance of automated playtests, troubleshoot issues independently with urgency and attention to detail to ensure on-time delivery of results.

🚀 Custom Playtest Coordination & Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end process of remote mobile playtesting for custom projects, ensuring efficient planning, execution, and delivery. Responsibilities include project scoping, quoting, technical playtest setup and delivering insightful results to stakeholders.

🚀 Proactive Client Consultation: Serve as a primary point of contact for North American clients, offering timely and effective communication through email and Zoom. Provide tailored support for each playtest, ensuring client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.

🚀 Exceptional Team Support: Coordinate playtests and troubleshoot issues with the greater Research Operations team while working asynchronously across time zones.

🚀 Cross-Platform Collaboration: Use in-house and external software programs to facilitate playtesting and client communication, including Asana, Front, Slack, Heroku and our own Player Insights Platform™.

🚀 Documentation: Document and regularly update information for current projects as well as maintain our internal help center.

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE

Mandatory:

Professional experience: You have 3+ years of experience in the gaming industry, working closely with research or development. Alternatively, you have experience in SaaS platforms or with agency work.

Strong English skills: You have (near) native spoken and written English skills and are comfortable conversing in English with colleagues and clients. Any additional languages will be a plus.

Self-starter: You take ownership of tasks and have a strong bias to action. You’re resourceful, thrive in autonomy, and take pride in delivering high-quality work.

Customer-focused: You’re able to respond quickly to the needs of our clients and have communicated closely with customers in previous roles. You are able to consult clients with confidence and guide them through the playtesting process.

Self-organized: You have strong organizational skills, with proven time management abilities and are excited to manage multiple projects and tasks with short deadlines.

Technically-minded: You can quickly learn and apply complex software, including mastering our custom playtesting software and navigating a suite of tools. Familiarity with complex software or programming languages is ideal (e.g. Looker Studio, Logic Pro X, Unity, Tableau, Ableton, Premiere Pro, SQL).

Working times: Roughly 9 AM - 6 PM GMT-3 (adjustable based on your location), with a one-hour lunch break. Most of your team will be in Europe, so you’ll need to structure your work effectively and handle some responsibilities independently.

Great to have:

🏆 Gaming Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the gaming industry and/or the field of Games User Research. Extra beneficial is experience coordinating or moderating playtest studies (remote or in person).

🏆 Research Experience: Experience in research methods or with User Research (HCI or Human Factors).

This is your chance to introduce yourself with a short cover letter on why you are a great fit for PlaytestCloud. All candidates, even those who may not have the above-listed experience but can demonstrate the necessary skills, may apply and will be considered.
