As a Researcher II, you will play a key role in crafting exceptional player experiences on PC and console. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, producers, and engineers, to collect and analyze player feedback through surveys and player labs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Player Experience Research: Partner with leadership to design and implement surveys and player labs that generate valuable, actionable feedback for improving experiences on PC and console platforms.
  • Storytelling & Communication: Leverage your storytelling skills to effectively communicate research findings to designers, producers, and engineers, ensuring that insights are clearly understood and applied.
  • Collaborative Analysis: Work closely with analysts and data scientists to create comprehensive, multi-modal analyses that integrate both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Insightful Recommendations: Translate research findings into clear recommendations that drive product and design decisions, with a focus on player experience optimization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: BA or BS in Social Sciences, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in user experience research, behavioral/cognitive research, or market research, particularly in the gaming industry.
  • Research Expertise: Professional experience designing and executing surveys and player lab studies.
  • Gaming Experience: Previous research experience specifically related to PC or console games.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Market Research: Experience conducting market research or collaborating with market research vendors.
  • Product Design or Strategy: Experience in product design or business strategy for consumer-facing products.
  • Analytical Tools: Advanced skills in analysis software such as SPSS, R, Excel, or similar tools.
