That’s where you come in. We’re seeking a Retail and marketing Specialist to support our consumer products growth ambitions in Mexico. You will work closely with your manager and the cross-functional teams locally and regionally to deploy a Marketing and retail strategy and needed tools/resources to achieve successful retail projects. The overall goal is to ensure that Netflix’s consumer products are an extension of title brand campaigns and to deliver on our promise to create fan joy at the right destination.
Mission
To successfully strategize and permeate Netflix licensing programs across major retailers in Mexico and NOLA (i.e., mass-market, specialty, and online) and deliver best-in-class retail tentpoles.
Job Description (Objectives)
Foundation & Strategy: Working closely with the Retail & Marketing manager to develop and execute the marketing & retail plans for Netflix titles through DTR and/or retail development.
Oversight & prioritize::
Strong relations with the Marketing and Display department of retailers to Inform about Netflix's upcoming content, and products and provide necessary tools for them to be autonomous
Be the overall brand guardian ensuring consistency and correct application of brand guidelines across Mexico distribution channels, and retailers
Implement and develop Retailer activations with the most important partners in Mexico such as Liverpool, Palacio de Hierro, Walmart, Suburbia, Chedraui, C&A, Cuidado con el Perro, Comercial Mexicana, etc.
Planning & Trade Marketing:
Plan with the manager & Retail & Marketing manager the launch-to-market programs as well as potential cross-category retail activations with key stakeholders both retailers and licensees.
Be responsible for the overall delivery of the brand across Mexico, keeping on top of timelines.
Work with local agencies (where applicable)
Plan, manage and execute manage the retail calendar for the region, expanding Netflix brands retail footprint through products.
Cross-functional support:
Create and leverage best retail practices from other countries/regions, such as UCAN, EMEA, and APAC, into the local market and vice versa.
Work closely with the Mexico Manager and PDC team to gain a thorough understanding of the brand guidelines and strategy that need to be localized for Mexico.
Work closely with the sales manager to attend key customer meetings and produce required resources to support sell-in and maximize retail presence for our titles.
Brief and manage the creative partner's team to create bespoke POS designs, brand guidelines, and imagery.
Collaborate with our PR manager to identify key PR opportunities and weave this into the overall brand plans to deliver maximum value.
Work closely with Netflix Marketing (Digital, Title Marketing, etc) to develop the overarching CP product campaigns with a recognizable media value during a window title launch.
What we are looking for
Demonstrated, 5+ years of experience in the entertainment industry with brands and/or content IPs with proven results and at least 2+ at trade marketing.
Knowledge of operational marketing / omnichannel approach
