Job Description

Coursera seeks a Salesforce Developer to build and maintain Salesforce applications across Sales, Service, Support, and Marketing. Responsibilities include the full application lifecycle (architecture, design, development, testing, deployment), writing high-performance Apex code, implementing unit and integration tests, creating Lightning Components, designing data models, and documenting processes. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of Salesforce development experience using Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Components, Triggers, Batch Apex, and Salesforce APIs. Experience with click-to-configure functionality (Flows, Lightning Email Templates, Sharing Rules) and Agile/Scrum methodologies is also required.
Must have:
  • 2-4 years Salesforce development experience
  • Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL expertise
  • Lightning Components, Triggers, Batch Apex
  • Salesforce APIs and click-to-configure functionality
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Unit and integration testing
Good to have:
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certifications
  • Experience in the education sector
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with VSCode, GIT, and DevOps concepts

Job Overview:

Coursera is searching for a sharp, motivated Salesforce expert to join our team as a Salesforce Developer to develop and support our Salesforce organizations. You will partner with our business & product  stakeholders on transformational processes in our areas of Sales, Service, Support, Application and Marketing solutions spanning operational strategy, business process and implementation. You will produce high quality code in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the full application life cycle: architecture, design, development, testing and deployment
  • Writing, testing, and deploying high-performance, reusable, and reliable Apex code
  • Implementing unit and integration testing to ensure systems work as intended
  • Creating and customizing Lightning Components to enhance the user interface
  • Designing data models and implementing Salesforce objects, including custom objects, fields, and relationshipsDocumenting development processes, technical designs, and other relevant information to ensure team coverage and code maintainability
  • Contributing to options analyses, proof-of-concept implementations, and validations for proposed solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience within the Salesforce Ecosystem focused on the development experience using Apex, Visualforce, SOQL and SOSL, Lightning Components Frameworks, Triggers, Batch Apex, and Salesforce APIs
  • Knowledgeable with click to configure functionality such as Flows, Lightning Email Templates, Sharing Rules.
  • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire 
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications listed below are in order of relevance. These are preferred but not required - hands-on experience is heavily considered
    1. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder
    2. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, optional
  • Prior experience in the education space (either as a parent, a student, teacher etc.)
  • Expert communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • College degree, or equivalent experience
  • A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives
  • Experience working with VSCode, GIT & familiar with DevOps concepts
