Job Description

The Scaled Solutions Engineer at Google's gTech Ads plays a crucial role in developing and scaling global ad solutions. This involves collaborating with regional stakeholders, product teams, and specialists to create reusable solutions and best practices. Responsibilities include collecting requirements, designing solutions, building and maintaining a portfolio of scaled solutions, adapting regional solutions for global use, and managing the solution lifecycle from discovery to deprecation. The ideal candidate possesses strong engineering skills, experience with ad tech products, and excellent communication abilities. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to accelerate the development of global ad solutions, ensuring customers get the most out of Google's ad products.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
3+ years experience in systems design or coding
2+ years experience delivering technical projects
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Proficient in web and cloud technologies

Good to have:

MBA or Master's degree
Experience with ad tech products (ad server, DSPs, DMPs, web analytics)
Excellent project management and leadership skills
Excellent business communication skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience in systems design or coding in a general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, PHP, etc.) and working with web and cloud technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP).
2 years of experience in delivering technical projects.
Experience partnering/working with cross-functional teams translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA or Master's degree in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with ad tech products - ad server, DSPs, DMPs, and web analytics.
Excellent project management, people and leadership skills, including problem-solving capabilities and demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven proposals.
Excellent business communication skills.

Scaled Solutions Engineering is a critical role within gTech Ads, focused on both solutions and scaling at a global level, partnering with regional stakeholders, product teams, and specialists, and re-envisioning the way gTech Ads goes to market across customer segments. The role provides the opportunity to create technical goals in the ads solutions space empowering customers and teams across the organization.

The Scaled Technical Services team within gTech Ads Solutions works with gTech Regional and Enablement teams on globally applicable projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside other engineers and technical experts to accelerate the identification and development of scaled ads solutions globally.
Collect requirements, provide guidance, and best practices to apply to ad products and technologies.
Be responsible for proactively scoping, designing, and building series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be reused by customers, promoters, partners.
Leverage engineering skills to adapt existing ads solutions created by regional teams into globally scaled solutions that can support customers.
Own solution life-cycle from discovery to launch, handling maintenance bugs and feature requests, and deprecation for a portfolio of scaled solutions.
