Ubisoft Sofia made its mark as a lead studio in the creation of AC Liberation, AC Rogue, and the mythological expansion of AC Origins “The Curse of the Pharaohs”. Following this success, Ubisoft Sofia contributed as a co-dev studio to the creation of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 and led the production of its second episode “Pentagon, The Last Castle” in 2019. The latest achievements of the teams in Sofia are the creation of the most ambitious expansion in the Assassin's Creed franchise history – AC Valhalla “Dawn of Ragnarök”, released in March 2022 and Assassin's Creed Mirage, released in October 2023. Currently the teams at Sofia are hard at work in the development of Assassin's Creed Shadows.

We’re looking for a talented Senior Animator to create stunning character animations and bring our worlds to life!
Your role:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality animations throughout every stage of the production. You’ll collaborate closely with artists, designers, programmers, leads, and fellow animators within our studio, as well as work alongside Ubisoft teams from around the world.

Your daily adventure:
CREATE AND DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY ANIMATIONS
While optimizing them to meet technical constraints and in accordance with the artistic direction of the project.
PRODUCE FINAL, HIGH-QUALITY ANIMATION
From scratch, pre-designed draft or motion capture footage.
UNDERSTAND THE MAIN NEEDS OF THE CONSUMER
And make sure that the elements developed by you will contribute to satisfaction and the entertainment of the consumer.
ANIMATE CHARACTERS, CAMERAS OR OBJECTS
Used for gameplay or cinematic sequences.
DELIVER ANIMATIC AND QUICK DRAFT ANIMATION TO PROOF IDEA.

Your Skills:
ENTHUSIASM AND DESIRE TO WORK
in the game development industry.
EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE
of Autodesk Maya and/or Motion Builder.
ANIMATION PRINCIPLES
excellent understanding of timing, spacing, weight and staging.
KEYFRAMING
Excellent knowledge and experience in keyframing for creating convincing and realistic, well-timed animations.
MOTION CAPTURE AND MO-CAP
Good understanding of motion capture techniques and mo-cap data processing knowledge.
GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF ACTING.
MINIMUM 4 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
in character and 3D animation, experience in the games industry is a plus.
VERY GOOD ARTISTIC SKILLS.
CRITICAL ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM SOLVING.
SELF-MOTIVATED
with a proactive attitude to improve own qualifications.
ABILITY TO LEARN
game engine tools and pipeline.
SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE
Effectively and coach less experienced people.
