Job Description

The Senior Account Strategist role at Google Customer Solutions focuses on driving growth for mid-market businesses by leveraging Google's advertising solutions. Responsibilities include exceeding quarterly business goals, managing a portfolio of clients, developing multi-quarter growth plans, pitching and consulting with customers, and overseeing stakeholder management. The ideal candidate possesses strong digital marketing expertise, sales skills (including effective questioning, objection handling, and promoting), and the ability to build compelling narratives. They must be comfortable building relationships with clients and agencies and consistently overachieving quotas. The role requires up to 20% travel.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, account management, marketing, or consulting.
  • Experience meeting and exceeding business goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience managing digital marketing and advertising campaigns and relationships with customers or agencies.
  • Experience in assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and promoting.
  • Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns (e.g., performance marketing), with an understanding of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of businesses by understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee stakeholder management and build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
