Job Description

The Account Strategist role at Google Customer Solutions focuses on the Alpine market (Switzerland and Austria). Responsibilities include achieving ambitious growth goals, building client relationships, conducting sales consultations, managing client portfolios, driving customer growth through effective Google Ads strategies, and exceeding quarterly quotas. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in German and English, a deep understanding of online advertising, and experience in consultative sales or marketing. They will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, managing risks, and developing quarterly plans to achieve marketing objectives for clients.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Client relationship management expertise
  • Google Ads knowledge
  • Quota overachievement
  • Growth strategy development
Good to have:
  • Google Digital Workshop certification
  • Experience in Swiss/Austrian advertising market
  • Strong storytelling and narrative building skills
  • Effective questioning and objection handling

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Google Digital Workshop or similar.
  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged promotions.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads and online advertising.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media business context in Switzerland or Austria, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving marketing objectives.
