Job Summary

Job Description

This role is an Enterprise Account Manager, Retail, focusing on the German market. Responsibilities include building executive relationships with enterprise customers, negotiating and managing business cycles, leading account strategy for business growth, collaborating with Customer Engineers and Google Partners, understanding customer technology footprints and strategic plans, driving business development and achieving sales goals. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of sales experience in the technology industry (SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS), a proven track record of selling to C-level executives in the retail sector, and fluency in German. The position is based in Munich or Berlin, Germany.
Must have:
  • 10+ years tech sales experience (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS)
  • C-level engagement & retail industry experience
  • Fluent German communication skills
  • Executive relationship building
  • Business cycle negotiation & management
  • Account strategy & business development leadership
Good to have:
  • Commercial & legal negotiation experience
  • Google Cloud technology promotion expertise
  • Executive-level influence & presentation skills
  • Cross-organizational collaboration & relationship building

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of sales experience in the technology industry with SaaS, PaaS or IaaS products and platforms.
  • Experience engaging with accounts, selling a portfolio of products at C-level.
  • Experience working with clients in the retail industry.
  • Ability to communicate in German fluently in order to manage relationships with international and local customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with commercial and legal negotiations working with procurement, legal, and business teams.
  • Experience promoting Google Cloud computing technologies to organizations across geographies.
  • Ability to influence decisions at the executive level.
  • Ability to present analyses and break down technical concepts into simple terms to present technical, and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.

  • Build executive relationships with enterprise customers. Bring to Google your relationships to help us grow into new organizations.
  • Negotiate and manage business-cycles, often presenting to C-level executives in corporate customers.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Customer Engineers, and Google Partners.
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans and business drivers, technology strategy and external landscape.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
