The Business Planner, Global Sales Operations, Pixel Phones role requires driving sales strategy and operational excellence across the organization. This crucial role bridges global sales strategy and regional execution, ensuring alignment and maximizing effectiveness. Responsibilities include long-term strategic planning, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize sales processes, providing insightful data analysis and recommendations, supporting robust forecasting and planning, enhancing sales operations and systems, owning regional deliverables, and serving as a subject matter expert in forecasting. The role involves collaborating with Sales, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to leadership. This includes implementing forecasting best practices, developing forecasting models, ensuring seamless forecast transitions, developing long-range financial plans, and providing data-driven insights through comprehensive reporting.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years in sales operations, forecasting, or data analytics
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Google Slides)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in forecasting and planning
Good to have:
  • Experience in advertising or digital media
  • Experience with statistical models (GLM, time series analysis)

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in sales operations, forecasting, business strategy, demand planning, or data analytics.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in building analysis or data visualization via Tableau, Google slides, Google sheets, or spreadsheet software and managing multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.
  • 2 years of experience creating complex data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience in sales forecasting, business analysis, or related field with a consumer-packaged goods company in a technology company.
  • Experience with statistical models and measurement techniques (generalized linear models, time series analysis).
  • Ability to “talk with numbers” and quantify and support conclusions with data.
  • Ability to showcase an intellectual curiosity and independently troubleshoot and root cause problems, with attention to detail on all projects and deliverables.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Sales Operations Business Planner for Pixel Phones to drive sales strategy and operational excellence across the organization. This crucial role will bridge the gap between global sales strategy and regional execution, ensuring alignment and maximizing effectiveness. In this role, you will contribute to long-term strategic planning, leverage data-driven insights to optimize sales processes, provide insightful data analysis and recommendations, as well as support robust forecasting and planning. You will lead key projects to enhance sales operations and systems, own specific regional deliverables and serve as a subject matter expert in forecasting, including end-to-end product portfolio management from the concept phase to end-of-life for prior generations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary regional sales operations liaison, collaborating with Sales, Finance, Product, Marketing and Supply Chain providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness by identifying/implementing process improvements in supply allocation, lost sales, and forecast accuracy.
  • Implement/maintain efficient forecasting best practices, including lifetime volume management and development annual sales [lan. Develop/maintain forecasting models and statistical analyses.
  • Ensure seamless forecast transition from product concept to end-of-life. Develop long-range financial plans with strategic impact analysis (capacity, IOQ modeling, product lifecycle curves, market trends and scenario planning).
  • Provide data-driven insights through comprehensive sales performance reporting, key performance indicators, and forecasts. Support sales operations with effective data management, tool administration, and custom analytics.
