Job Description

This Business Development Manager role focuses on acquiring new app clients in Greater China (fintech, social, tools, utilities, and content). Responsibilities include identifying high-potential clients, developing and implementing go-to-market strategies, managing the full sales cycle (from initial contact to contract closure), building lasting client relationships, and providing excellent customer service. The role requires fluency in English and Mandarin, strong communication and presentation skills, and a deep understanding of the online advertising industry and app market trends in Greater China. Success will be measured by achieving sustainable results and acquiring high-value clients.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/business development
  • Fluent English and Mandarin

  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies
  • Full sales cycle management

  • Experience with mobile app developers

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, or business development.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in recruiting and managing mobile app developers at a tech company or helping mobile apps achieve ecosystem success.
  • Knowledge of established relationships within the online advertising industry.
  • Understanding of the issues in the online/digital industry and insights of growth trajectory to drive strategies in the marketplace.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing strategies.
  • Ability to develop agreements, with excellent public speaking, presentation, and communication skills.

In this role, you will provide excellent customer service to our apps clients across fintech, social, tools and utilities as well as content.

Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate high-potential apps clients across fintech, social, tools and utilities as well as content in greater China, collaborating with other internal and external partners to generate qualified leads.
  • Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies for the greater China app market tol drive and achieve sustainable results.
  • Lead the full business cycle for new apps clients across fintech, social, tools and utilities as well as content in greater China, from initial engagement to closing the agreement, and ensure ongoing client satisfaction and growth.
  • Acquire strategic, high-value clients through aimed outreach, consultative promoting, and compelling presentations, establishing lasting client relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, participant analysis, and policy changes. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize our acquisition and client development strategies.
