The Senior Finance Manager will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation close activities for all business segments (US and International). They will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including intercompany processes, foreign currency matters, and segment reporting. The role involves driving process improvements, supervising staff, preparing consolidation schedules, and liaising with reporting entities. Responsibilities also include researching accounting treatments, supporting external audits, and managing ad-hoc projects. The candidate will also be responsible for team leadership and performance management. The role requires strong consolidation and reporting skills with a strong accounting/control background.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting or a public company
  • Experience operating at manager level (2-3 years plus)
  • Prior experience in financial reporting/consolidation required
  • Strong consolidation and reporting skills with a strong accounting/control background
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP/EPM required
Good to have:
  • CPA certification (or international equivalent) a plus
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI

With 10,600 employees, the Company's casino operations include approximately 15,300 slot machines, 580 table games and 3,800 hotel rooms. Upon completing the construction of a permanent casino facility in Chicago, IL, and a land-based casino near the Nittany Mall in State College, PA, Bally's will own and/or manage 16 casinos across 11 states. Bally’s also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana. 

Well, what about the team?

We are seeking a talented and experienced financial close, consolidation and reporting leader to join our Corporate Accounting Team. This role will be a key player in the Company’s monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation close activities ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of such reporting. This is inclusive of ensuring proper accounting intercompany-processes, foreign currency matters, segment reporting and other financial reporting related deliverables. Senior Manager, Consolidations & Reporting will drive process improvements and efficiencies while ensuring the integrity of the process and data. This position partners with various teams across the organization to support the consolidations and internal/external reporting processes.

So, what will you be doing?

    This role will support the Corporate Accounting and Consolidation team for all business segments (US and International). Key responsibilities include:

    • Developing and owning the Company’s multi-currency consolidation process
    • Liaising with reporting entities to ensure a timely and accurate close
    • Supervising staff to ensure timely and accurate posting of all eliminations and necessary consolidation adjustments
    • Overseeing and executing on intercompany processing, driving process improvements and adoption of policies
    • Preparing, reviewing, triaging of consolidation schedules as required
    • Developing and implementing best practice processes and systems across the group
    • Leading role in system improvement initiatives
    • Supporting the wider team’s delivery requirements including ad hoc project work required
    • Researching unique or complex transactions contemplated and/or entered into by the Company to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
    • Serving as the main contact for the annual external audit and quarterly reviews through communication with external auditors and preparation of analysis and documentation.

    Strategy & Innovation:

    The successful candidate should have the ability to do the following:

    • Supporting the Senior Finance Leaders and Finance Functions on standardizing and improving the Consolidation/Reporting and Governance environment
    • Managing ad hoc projects as required

    Operations & Results:

    • Providing full financial and analytical support to the Senior Finance Leaders and Finance Functions with respect to Consolidation.
    • Evaluating accounting treatment of complex/non-routine transactions

    Customers & Relationships:

    • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with Business Partners as well as Senior Finance Leaders and Finance Functions.
    • Managing the Consolidation & Reporting stream and ensure that deliverables are succinct, accurate, and timely.
    • Working with the Finance, Operations and Commercial Teams to understand all the different drivers and variances in the sub-consolidation process.
    • Serving as a key contact for external auditors as well as executive leadership on the accounting for complex and non-routine transactions

    Leadership & Performance management of team:

    • Delivering proper induction and Training of personnel to ensure competency in role.
    • Recruiting and managing direct reports to ensure that they are delivering in line with requirements.
    • Setting of Objectives in line with overall Finance objectives and role specifics.

    And what are we looking for?

      • Have Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related, accredited field required
      • Have 5+ years experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or a public company environment.
      • Demonstrate experience operating at manager level – ideally 2-3 years plus.
      • Show prior experience in financial reporting/consolidation role required
      • Possess strong consolidation and reporting skills, together with a strong accounting/control background.
      • CPA certification (or international equivalent) a plus.
      • Be an enthusiastic team player with ability to work flexibly in an ever-changing work environment
      • Show proven track record of identifying and remediating problems and solving issues.
      • Possess knowledge of Oracle ERP/EPM required, as well as ability to use reporting tolls such as Power BI.
      • Showcase proven results in raising and maintaining high performance in teams.
      • Display good written and verbal English language skills.
