Job Description
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will maintain existing services (bug fixes, security updates, improvements in Java, Scala, and TypeScript), build new APIs and web applications (Java/Scala), and migrate legacy services to new technologies (Java). This role requires 5+ years of Java/Spring Boot experience for API and web application development. You will work with AWS, including RDS/SQL databases, Lambda, and Kafka. Proficiency in Docker/Containers, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript is crucial. Experience with Scala, React, and observability tools like Datadog are beneficial. Job Details
Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of existing services (e.g., bug fixes, security updates, improvements in Java, Scala, and TypeScript)
- Building new APIs and web applications (Java/ Scala)
- Migrating legacy services to new technologies (Java)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot for developing APIs and web applications.
- A self-driven, quick learner who can grasp tasks, gather necessary information, and work independently.
- DevOps skills for monitoring and data analysis
- Exposure to or experience with Scala, or eagerness to learn it;
- Hands-on experience with Cloud hosting on AWS
- Experience with AWS RDS/SQL databases.
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda and AWS Kafka.
Should-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in working with Docker/Containers.
- Experience with HTML
- Experience with CSS
- Hands-on experience with Typescript
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog.
- Proficiency in React for web application development.
- Experience with Scala
