Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to develop and refine core gameplay mechanics (combat, crafting, movement, automation) for SolidRiver, a AAA survival city-builder set in a procedurally generated medieval world. Responsibilities include working on procedural world generation, resource management, collaborating with designers on intuitive gameplay features, optimizing for seamless open-world experiences, and ensuring AAA-quality through debugging and polishing. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in gameplay programming, strong C++ and Unreal Engine 5 proficiency, and expertise in physics, AI, multiplayer mechanics, procedural generation, and optimization.

Your Role

We are seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to help craft an immersive and highly interactive world. Your role will focus on creating core gameplay systems, improving player interactions, and optimizing mechanics for our survival city-builder.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine core gameplay mechanics such as combat, crafting, movement, and automation.
  • Work on procedural world generation and resource management mechanics.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement engaging and intuitive gameplay features.
  • Optimize performance for seamless open-world experiences.
  • Debug, test, and polish gameplay systems for a AAA-quality experience.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in gameplay programming.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
  • Experience in physics-based interactions, AI behaviors, and multiplayer game mechanics.
  • Knowledge of procedural generation and automation systems.
  • Strong debugging and optimization skills.
