Job Description

The Senior Localization Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible for ensuring the linguistic quality and functionality of localized video game content in their native language. This role involves testing localized games, reporting bugs, providing language expertise, supporting other testers, leading projects, training new team members, assisting with recruitment, and supporting the LQA Team Lead. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of experience in LQA testing or a related role, native-level fluency in a language such as French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, or Brazilian Portuguese, and a high standard of English. They should also have strong command of English (written and verbal), experience with bug-tracking tools, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop within the company. Additionally, they should have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must have:
  • Test localized games in native language.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Localization Quality Assurance Tester to join our growing team. As an LQA Senior Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the linguistic quality and functionality of localized video game content in your native language. You will act as a key point of reference for both your language and the wider testing team, contributing to the success of projects and team growth.



Key Responsibilities

Game Testing & Bug Reporting: Test localized games in your native language to ensure high linguistic quality and report linguistic, textual, and functional bugs using relevant bug-tracking databases.

Language Expertise: Serve as the primary point of reference for your assigned language, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and cultural relevance.

Team Support: Guide and support other testers, providing mentorship and linguistic assistance when required.

Project Leading: Lead small to medium-sized LQA projects as needed, acting as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams.

Training & Onboarding: Train new team members and provide ongoing support during their onboarding period.

Recruitment Assistance: Evaluate language tests submitted by applicants as part of the recruitment process.

Operational Support: Assist the LQA Team Lead and management with various tasks and initiatives to improve workflows and project outcomes.

Native-level fluency in any of the following language: French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, with excellent grammar, spelling, and localization skills along with a high standard of English as this is our office spoken language.

• Strong command of English (written and verbal).

• Proven experience in LQA testing or a related localization/QA role minimum 2 years.

• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, DevTrack).

• Positive attitude, can-do mentality, and willingness to take initiative.

• Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop within the company.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Leadership qualities and experience in mentoring or supervising others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior LQA tester
• Background in localization, linguistics, or game development.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with localization tools (e.g., memoQ, SDL Trados, Xbench) is advantageous.
