Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to lead our Regional Claims Division at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
You can expect to lead the team that sets the strategy for a wide range of claims product types, ensuring that team standards and procedures align with best practices for quality service. You will cultivates strong relationships with insurers, service partners, brokers, underwriters, Senior Management and Claims team to advocate for direct reports internally as well as help them navigate complex client interactions and maintain high-quality work, all in accordance with company and legal standards.
We will count on you to:
- Oversee day-to-day Claims Operations within the region, managing various General Insurance claims including Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Cargo, Property Damage, Motor, Travel, Personal Accident, All Risk, and Marine, as well as Employee Compensation and Work Injury Rehabilitation.
- Deliver exceptional value to clients by ensuring timely and quality service, while maintaining commitments to internal stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence by creating process efficiencies and fostering a knowledge organization that enhances technical expertise within the team.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, influencing decision-makers and providing a value-added experience through operational collaboration.
- Lead the implementation of annual operating plans and manage operational risks to ensure resilience and compliance with best practices.
What you need to have:
- A degree in a relevant field, with at least 10 years of experience in Claims, including 8 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in Insurance Claims adjudication or advocacy, along with essential relevant certifications.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities.
What makes you stand out:
- An MBA or higher education, along with certifications in LEAN, Six Sigma, or KAIZEN.
- Previous experience in Shared Services, particularly in dealing with regional or onshore stakeholders, and experience in transition or migration projects.
- A track record of successful change management, planning, organizing, and resource management skills.
