Job Title: Senior SEO Specialist

Location: Mumbai

Job description summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SEO Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in SEO, with a strong background in the fintech industry. This role requires advanced knowledge of both on-page and off-page SEO techniques, technical SEO, and a proven track record of successfully managing SEO strategies that drive organic growth. The Senior SEO Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies to improve our search engine rankings, drive organic traffic, and compete effectively in a challenging industry.

Responsibilities:

Organic Traffic Growth: Responsible for driving overall organic traffic growth for international brands.

Content Marketing & SEO Planning: Lead and strategize content marketing efforts, SEO analysis, and provide actionable recommendations.

Quality Traffic & Conversions: Focus on bringing in quality organic traffic and increasing conversions achieved through organic channels.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Technology, Product, Content, Marketing, and Analytics teams to ensure task completion with comprehensive input from all parties.

Keyword Research: Perform detailed keyword research regularly to expand existing organic reach, conduct competitive benchmarking, and cross-channel analysis to develop targeted keyword sets.

Data-Driven Optimization: Lead data analysis on SEO to derive actionable insights for continuous optimization.

SEO Reporting: Analyze SEO reports to synthesize data, interpret insights, and create actionable plans.

Backlink Strategy: Conduct competitor backlink analysis and recommend internal and external linking strategies while ensuring effective outreach execution.

Technical SEO Audits: Conduct comprehensive technical site audits for desktop and mobile to identify gaps such as multiple domain indexing, page indexing, text-to-HTML ratio, broken links, etc., and drive optimization plans with relevant teams.

Experimentation & Analysis: Test, analyze, and scale experiments to improve key metrics across channels (e.g., landing pages, ad copy, creative, etc.).

Engagement Optimization: Measure, track, and optimize engagement from the top of the funnel throughout the customer journey to ensure marketing is accelerating sales efforts to increase UCC.

Goal Tracking: Set up goal tracking and conversion tracking using tools like Google Analytics to measure and analyze user interactions, conversions, and ROI from organic search traffic.

What do you need to bring?

SEO Expertise: 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SEO with a proven track record of driving strong organic growth across multiple brands consistently.

Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Fintech competitive landscape is a plus.

Comprehensive SEO Knowledge: Deep understanding of the SEO lifecycle, including:

On-Page SEO: Meta tags, website interlinking, breadcrumbs, URL optimization, image optimization.

Link Analysis: Tracking and managing link quality to prevent spamming.

Keyword Research & Tracking: Identifying new opportunities and monitoring performance.

Analytical Tools Proficiency: Experience with website analysis using tools like Google Analytics, Google Keyword Tool, Google Webmasters Tool, Moz, Semrush, and Excel for reporting, along with internal reporting tools.
