Summary
Nielsen Global Media seeks a Senior Full-stack Engineer (backend-focused) to develop and maintain front-end interfaces and related infrastructure. Responsibilities include developing, automating, and enhancing SaaS/PaaS platforms on AWS, ensuring system performance and security, building microservices, and collaborating with backend and product teams. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of cloud experience, proficiency in React, JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, and NodeJS, and experience with CI/CD and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
Must have:
- 4+ years Cloud experience (24x7 uptime)
- React, JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL, API, NodeJS
- Full-stack development & testing
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Web services integration & API maintenance
- Agile/DevOps experience & SDLC understanding
- Experience with databases (MySQL, Postgres), web servers, containers
- AWS experience
Good to have:
- Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, container experience
- Airflow, ELK, or similar technologies
- Infrastructure automation
- Big data platform experience
- Gitlab pipelines

ABOUT THIS JOB:

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack engineer (more backend oriented) who likes to work on cutting-edge technologies in an environment that gives you the autonomy to explore, learn, and adopt. Join a close-knit team of highly skilled engineers working in an agile environment, and you will be responsible for helping to create and maintain front-end interfaces and related infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience with Cloud services in a 24x7 uptime environment
- Competency in React, JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL Database, API, NodeJS
- Experience architecting, developing, and testing full-stack code end-to-end
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools
- Experience building integrations using web services and maintaining an API
- Have worked in Agile and DevOps environment and have good understanding of SDLC
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres), web servers, containers
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with AWS
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and containers
- Experience with Airflow, ELK, or similar technologies
- Infrastructure automation
- Experience with backend big data platforms, technologies, and languages
- Hands-on work with Gitlab pipelines
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, automate, and enhance SaaS/PaaS platforms built on AWS
Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of frontend systems
Build fault-tolerant, scalable, and resilient microservices
Develop applications that use React, RESTful API, and Microservices frameworks
Collaborate with backend and product teams to build end-to-end solutions
Suggest and implement best practices and architecture improvements
