We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our award winning team conveniently located in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Double Eleven, you’ll play a pivotal role in building cutting-edge tools that enable all departments within Double Eleven to succeed in creating great games and help to provide an incredible working environment. As part of the Systems Development department you will have the opportunity to impact all aspects of game development across all the titles Double Eleven is working on. The team will develop and deliver Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to gather early feedback, and then iterate on these MVPs based on user input and requirements to achieve stable, mature products.

What you’ll be doing
- Develop, and implement high-quality software tools using Vue 3, Tailwind CSS, and Google Firebase
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, across all of development and business operations to gather requirements and provide innovative solutions
- Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability through code reviews, best practices, and adherence to coding standards
- Work closely with the lead engineer and systems development manager to prioritise features, establish project timelines, and plan resource allocation
- Utilise metrics, analytics, and MongoDb / SQL to gather insights for game, production and management teams at Double 11
- Work with lead to implement optimisation of existing tool performance, and the improvement of prototype codebase to production ready tools
- Experience building MVPs, embracing an iterative development approach, and incorporating user feedback to drive product improvements and refinements
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our tools remain competitive and cutting-edge
- Continuously improve and optimise the development process by identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, issues, and performance problems
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, as needed
What we’re looking for
- Experience in software development with a focus on web technologies
- Expertise in Vue 3 or equivalent frameworks such as React
- Experience with Google Firebase is a strong plus; passion for exploring and learning Firebase technologies is highly desirable
- Experience Tailwind CSS is desirable
- Some proficiency in MongoDb or SQL and experience with analytics and metrics, for legacy applications and data warehouse related prototyping.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyse complex issues and provide innovative solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools
- Prior experience in the gaming industry or developing tools for gaming teams is a significant advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is desirable
