As an intern you'll be working directly with the founding team on our product's backend system which is the main driver for our success. You’ll receive technical mentorship by our CEO and become an equal member of the engineering team. Throughout your internship you'll have the opportunity to shape our product and leave a mark in an exciting industry.

Responsibilities

• Build stand-alone, reliable backend services
• Improve backend scalability and maintainability
• Experiment and iterate on architectural changes through component and performance testing
• Take ownership of projects from design to implementation and deployment (and beyond)
• Contribute directly to our product and the way our early customers use it

Requirements

• Show us what you did before and why you are the backend intern!
• Very good knowledge of server architecture and scalability designs
• Experience with Erlang/OTP and/or Golang is a big plus
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with the founding team
• A sense of urgency and ownership over the product
• Great attitude towards work and people
• Intellectually curious, passionate, and inventive
• Focus on quality and simplicity
• Motivated to solve problems in unique and innovative ways
• Desire to make things, and an understanding of developer usability and long-term maintainability
