Job Description

As a Software Integration & Application Engineer at Valeo, you will integrate and apply software to On-Board-Chargers and High Voltage Inverters. Your responsibilities include understanding system design (Hardware/Software), application software modules, flashing software and changing parameters, reading out failure codes, supporting failure analysis and testing, and collaborating with development teams in Europe and the US. You'll contribute to shaping the future of automotive engineering. The role involves working in a demanding environment, with opportunities for international collaboration and career growth within a company committed to sustainable development.
Must have:
  • Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics, or Informatics.
  • Experience in embedded systems concepts and Microcontrollers.
  • Experience with software development methods and tools.
  • Good understanding of Diagnostics (UDS, OBD, XCP).
  • Knowledge of communication protocols CAN, CAN-FD, LIN.

You will join the Research and Development team at our site in San Luis Potosi.

In the R&D team, you will be in charge of integrating and applying the software on our On-Board-Chargers and High Voltage Inverters. 


 

Your challenges : 

  • Understand the system design (Hardware/Software) of our products (On-Board Charger; DCDC; Inverter) 

  • Understand the application software modules of our products

  • Be able to flash SW and to change parameters; Read out failure codes 

  • Support the analysis of failures and the testing of our products 

  • Cooperate with the development teams in Europe and the US and implement the knowledge in San Luis Potosi 

  • Shape the future of automotive engineering and support the product launch of innovative technology for electric vehicles

Your profile 

  • Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics, Informatics, etc. and first professional experience in software development ideal wise in vehicle electrification at an OEM or Tier 1

  • Good knowledge in Embedded systems concepts and Microcontrollers

  • Experience of software development and implementation methods and tools, including V-cycle activities

  • Good understanding of Diagnostics (UDS,OBD,XCP,...)

  • Knowledge in communication protocols CAN, CAN-FD, LIN,.. etc.

  • Hands-on troubleshooting and debugging experience required, including hands-on experience in (Lauterbach, UDE, I-system,...) is a plus

  • Solution-oriented with an ability to work in a demanding environment and with the design centres in Europe and the US. Therefore good english skills are and advantage

  • Excellent team spirit, able to take initiative and motivated to learn fast
