Job Description

The Software Technologist II - Test will be responsible for performing software testing (automated and manual) throughout the whole development cycle, providing test expertise to define and drive software test strategies, reviewing requirements, and participating in team testing. The role involves testing various aspects of the product/system, automating tests, setting up test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases, and reporting results. This position requires at least 6 years of experience in software testing.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 6+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer
  • Experience in testing software applications deployed in cloud
  • Experience in REST APIs testing
  • Experience in writing Test Plan, Protocols and Reports

Job Description


Your role:

  • Professional providing advanced expertise in software testing. Might mentor junior staff. Typically, focuses on testing the integration of several parts of a system.

  • Perform software testing (automated and manual) within the systems/agile/scrum team throughout the whole development cycle ensuring built-in quality

  • Provide test expertise to define and drive software test strategies and initiatives at feature and system level

  •  Review (functional and non-functional) requirements/stories/features for accuracy and testability

  • Consult within scrum or other teams on test planning and participates in scrum team testing, planning and demo activities

  • Testing all aspects of the product/system like functional/component, system, requirement, performance, regression and service.

  • Automate tests and test own code. Selects and applies test management tools/simulation models/test frameworks/scripting languages.

  • Work with feature teams to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management

  • Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.

  • Providing feedback on reliability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it

  • Documents test plans, protocols, and reports

You're the right fit if:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • 6+ years of working experience as a Software Test Engineer

  • Experience in testing software applications deployed in cloud

  • Experience in REST APIs testing

  • Experience in writing Test Plan, Protocols and Reports
