Sr Android Engineer

We’re currently seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our client's Messaging Platform & Tooling team. This role is fully remote and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading-edge platform that powers communication across multiple channels.

As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in enhancing and optimizing the messaging platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards for user engagement and brand alignment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Android developer to make a significant impact while collaborating with a talented team of engineers and product professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Android applications utilizing the client’s centralized messaging platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new messaging features.
• Optimize messaging systems to improve delivery rates and user engagement.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in Android development with a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
• Familiarity with functional programming concepts and state management frameworks.
• Expertise in reactive programming with tools like RxJava and Android Coroutines.
• Proven ability to develop scalable and reliable mobile applications.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with messaging systems or related technologies.
• Proficiency in Android Compose design system.
• Familiarity with the client’s messaging platform and ecosystem.
• Experience in integration and end-to-end testing.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
