As the Senior Director of Business Strategy, you will work with the President of EA Entertainment and Studio General Managers to shape the franchise strategies for some of EA’s most prominent brands and IP such as Battlefield, The Sims, Apex Legends and others. You will identify trends across the industry shaping the market for EA Entertainment’s franchises, and working with Studio teams to deliver that context and ensure implementation into franchise plans and strategies. Additionally, you will cultivate the professional growth of the next generation of talent within the Strategy function.
This is a Senior-level role reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer
Responsibilities:
Co-Develop Franchise Strategies:
- Be the thought-partner to the President of EA Entertainment and Studio GMs to define franchise strategies
- Integrate market context, studio creative goals, and technical capabilities into comprehensive franchise plans
- Provide expertise on the impact of changing technologies and market trends on EA Entertainment's franchises
- Align franchise strategies with the broader corporate strategy and contribute to its updates
Strategic Planning:
- Work with Business, Finance, Communications, and Executive Operations teams to communicate updates franchise strategies and ensure understanding of our long-term financial plan and investor narrative
- Monitor and evaluate progress towards strategic goals, providing transparent, data-driven updates to the CEO, XLT, and Board of Directors
Mentor Strategy Talent:
- Manage and Develop several direct reports, ranging in tenure from manager to associate level
- Be a mentor for early career Strategy Generalists, offering guidance on career development and professional relationships, including to those outside your direct reporting line
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience with corporate strategy within Entertainment or Technology industries
- Experience with Tech and Entertainment market dynamics, and latest trends around gaming
- Understanding of strategy frameworks in consumer contexts
- Financial knowledge with experience linking business initiatives and strategy to detailed financial plans
- Experience managing teams with the desire to mentor team members
- Experience influencing executives and driving agreement in a matrixed organization
- Experience presenting complex concepts and strategies to a diverse set of leaders and senior executives
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $202,700 - $308,800 USD Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
