Sr. Lead Engineer, Mechanical Design

What will you work on?

• Support Sr Mechanical Manager by leading a group of Design Engineers in achieving product design goals.
• Own the mechanical design per assign projects, interpret the design requirements into physical 3D design
• Design for cost and manufacturable, turn the concepts into working models and validate it until reach to a robust and production friendly design.
• Research new technology applications in the market for new product development.
• Work closely with internal/external counterparts and act as a key contact person in providing workable solutions on product designs;

What are your skills and experience?

• Min 10 yrs of ME working experience with bachelor degree or min 12 yrs of ME related design experience;
• Min 3yrs of co-design work experience with foreign muti-location RD teams
• Successful launched several products with complex mechanism design independently
• Familiar with toys/small appliances development process。
• Good knowledge in injection molds, plastics, metal parts, motors and batteries
• Preferred experience in handling projects for RC planes, RC cars, and other mechanical toys
• Strong ownership of assign tasks and willing to push boundaries to make it happen
• Proficient in 3D CAD, SolidWorks is preferred.
• Highly effective in creating 3D models from 2D sketches.
• Highly effective in designing motion mechanisms, extensive knowledge on motorized products is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding in mechanical design philosophy, design driven by DFM and DFC, understand and use methodologies like DoE and TSA to guide the design activities.
• Excellent level of oral and written English Chinese.
