Suspension Tunable Engineer (CAD)

As Suspension Tunable Engineer (CAD), you will be responsible for:

• Lead the design and integration of suspension systems that manage vehicle roll, pitch, heave, and unsprung mass movement, from initial concept through to production.

• Ensure that all components align with performance and attribute targets, delivering high-quality ride and handling characteristics.

• Apply meticulous attention to detail in both system-level and component-level design, ensuring engineering excellence throughout.

• Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and external suppliers to deliver efficient, well-integrated multi-system solutions.

• Plan and execute both virtual simulations and real-world validation tests to verify design performance.

• Oversee multiple advanced engineering projects simultaneously, meeting timelines and performance targets in a high-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Professional background in the automotive industry with a focus on suspension elements such as springs, stabilizer bars, dampers, and bushings.

• Expertise in component tuning to achieve optimal ride comfort and dynamic performance.

• Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, ride and handling, and noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH).

• Hands-on experience designing mechanical components from the ground up through to full production release.

• Familiarity with the full lifecycle of design release, including change management and project coordination.

• Practical experience in prototype building and assembly processes.

• Skilled in selecting technologies, defining systems, and evaluating supplier capabilities.

• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools with a proven track record of leading projects from design through implementation.

• Strong command of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to define manufacturing requirements accurately.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
