The Title Marketing Manager at Netflix in Mexico City will be a creative leader responsible for developing and executing engaging marketing campaigns for Netflix films and series. This role requires a deep understanding of Mexican culture and the ability to connect with target audiences. The manager will collaborate with various teams (PR, Content, Social Media) to ensure seamless campaign execution and achieve business goals. Key responsibilities include developing campaign strategies, leveraging audience insights, optimizing creative workflows, and launching innovative campaigns for Netflix originals. Strong communication skills in Spanish and English are essential, along with experience managing creative teams and working in a fast-paced environment.

Title Marketing Manager | MEXICO

The Role

The Title Marketing Manager role is first and foremost a creative leader; who will develop inspiring and thought-provoking campaigns to generate conversation around our films and series. 

This person should be able to generate a deep understanding of the content, its audience, and our media landscape and, most importantly, identify how it intersects with Mexican culture.

The role needs someone with sharp creative judgment who will help our team and partners identify, select, and flesh out effective ideas that impact culture and our brand. We aspire to best-in-class execution and deployment of our campaigns, and the ability to balance strategy and execution is key to success. 

We work in a fast-paced environment and launch dozens of campaigns per year. This means this person should be able to manage various creative projects simultaneously and make fast decisions to meet very demanding deadlines. At the end of a campaign, there’s always another creative challenge right around the corner.

Collaboration is essential in this role. This person will constantly need to balance the perspectives of our PR, Content, and Social Media partners to build strong synergies, find common ground, and align on the right way to bring our titles to market.

  • Leadership: The right leadership style for this position has experience managing creative teams (directly or indirectly). A humble, open-minded leader who excels at building bridges between teams.

  • Creative Judgment:  Has a proven track record of producing creative campaigns that impact culture, the brand, and the business. A real expert on how to spot insights, write sharp briefs, set an innovative vision, identify big ideas, and make them happen in time. Seeks for innovation, is unafraid to take risks, and can build strong bonds with our partners.

  • Strategic Mindset: A person who can connect the dots to produce cohesive work serving an authentic audience and a tangible goal, and where the tactics ladder up to a campaign strategy.

  • Operational Excellence. It has a high standard regarding results and how we got there. A person who can simplify ways of working, optimize processes, collaborate effectively, and set a high pace for a team to deliver on time at a fast pace.

  • Culture Savvy. An expert in Mexican culture who can leverage powerful insights to produce initiatives that spark conversations. An entertainment fan who understands the power of content to transform behaviors and influence pop culture. 

  • Media Expertise. Understands the media landscape regarding trends, people’s media habits, and formats. A person who can work effectively with media partners, bringing digital and offline media together to create powerful campaigns. 

  • Great Communicator. Spanish and English are mandatory languages in speech and writing, which is expected to leverage language and might direct copywriting. They will also work with a variety of stakeholders at a global level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Title marketing campaigns- Develop and lead campaigns to generate conversation around our films and series.

  • Audience/fandom understanding- Able to generate insights from data and other sources to position our titles and capitalize on our audiences.

  • Creative process- Knows how to optimize a creative workflow, stay on track with longer-term projects, and react quickly with creativity to new title opportunities.

  • Entertainment marketing. You will lead and launch unique and innovative campaigns for our Netflix originals and any other high-profile content; 

  • Cross-functional excellence. You will serve as a key voice in ensuring that PR, social, and content work seamlessly and in true synergy.

  • Culture building. You will be a strong culture player who can help us propagate and nurture our company values among the Mexican team.
