UI Designer

In this role, you’ll craft engaging and intuitive interfaces that enhance the educational experience for our players. Working from UX wireframes and visuals, you’ll design user-friendly UI elements, keep the game’s look and feel consistent, and help create promotional materials that stand out.

You’ll collaborate closely with educators and developers to ensure each design meets our product goals. Through user research and testing, you’ll play a key part in refining the user experience. With your knowledge of design trends, you’ll bring fresh ideas to boost player engagement. Proficiency with tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Figma is a must, as you’ll optimize designs across devices. Your work will be essential in creating an immersive and impactful experience that blends creativity with functionality.

About Ylands EDU

Ylands EDU is a Czech educational platform that encourages creativity and teaches computer science in a fun and engaging way. It offers a safe environment where students can explore, create, and build their own small game projects. Teachers can easily design custom interactive lessons, making the learning experience both flexible and tailored. Ylands EDU helps students develop the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital world.

Responsibilities

  • Design & Implement UI: Craft user-friendly, visually appealing interfaces aligned with educational goals
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with developers, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive design
  • User Testing & Feedback: Conduct testing sessions; refine UI based on feedback to enhance usability and engagement
  • Sprint & Task Management: Organize and prioritize design tasks within sprints; maintain efficient workflows

Requirements

  • 5+ years in UI design; skilled in Adobe CC and Figma
  • Proven experience in Agile, UCD, and UDD frameworks
  • Detail-oriented, with a user-centered approach
  • Excellent English (B2/C1)
