Nielsen is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Specialized Services team within the US Media Field Operations organization. This role is responsible for collecting detailed business requirements across multiple projects. The Business Analyst will work closely with the technical team and business analysts to ensure all requirements are captured and representative of the business need, delivering integrated solutions. Responsibilities include in-home telecom services, rate, and usage analysis for both telecom and mobile; AirWatch security admin for mobile devices for all field/audio users; ensuring project business requirements are clear and understood; collaborating with program leads, business management, and leadership to identify process opportunities; leading workshops related to gathering and review of project requirements and business solutions; analyzing requirements-related information; creating and owning high-quality documentation; working with stakeholders and the project team to prioritize requirements; providing thought leadership to process definition and process improvement; overseeing and approving technical design and systems development; providing support to Project Managers to ensure projects meet required timelines and deliverables; collaborating with key stakeholders and other teams to ensure harmonization of systems, practices, and processes; and working closely with Technology Business Analysts to ensure alignment on all requirements.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of comparable work experience
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of technology
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional environments
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office desktop and Google tools
Good to have:
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of a project analysis
  • Experience in full systems development life cycle
  • Exposure of BPI tools
  • Ability to work on multiple projects

The Business Analyst is part of the Specialized Services team within the US Media Field Operations

are captured and representative of the business need delivering integrated solutions

Responsibilities

    • In-home telecom services, rate, and usage analysis for both telecom and mobile
    • AirWatch security admin for mobile devices for all field/audio users
    • Ensuring that the project's business requirements are clear and understood by all project stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with program leads, business management, and leadership to identify process opportunities.
    • Leading workshops related to gathering and review of project requirements and business solutions.
    • Analyzing requirements-related information obtained from various sources: reconciliation, decomposition, and gap analysis of this information.
    • Create and own high-quality documentation
    • Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize requirements.
    • Provide thought leadership to process definition and process improvement.
    • Oversee and approve technical design and systems development to ensure requirements are met.
    • Provide support to Project Managers to ensure projects meet required timelines and deliverables.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders and other teams outside and within DA to ensure harmonization of systems, practices, and processes
    • Work closely with Technology Business Analysts to ensure alignment on all requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of comparable work experience
    • Highly effective communication (oral and written) skills including problem-solving, prioritizing, and
    • interpersonal relationship building at different levels within the organization (global to local)
    • Demonstrated track record of delivering solutions that meet business needs
    • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize based on company objectives
    • Strong documentation and organizational skills
    • Solid understanding of technology
    • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional environments
    • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office desktop and Google tools or equivalent
    • Knowledgeable in all phases of a project analysis
    • Experience in full systems development life cycle on multiple concurrent projects
    • Having exposure of BPI tools would be an advantage
    • Ability to work on multiple projects
