Overview

As part of this exciting position, you will be responsible for crafting brand-consistent content across various communication channels, including New Jersey Lottery's social media platforms, digital ads, Lottery vending machines, and digital screens throughout the state.

 

While this role provides production and editorial oversight for a range of projects, applicants should also be comfortable appearing in content and occasionally hosting and speaking on camera.

 

This role is heavily focused on creating clear, concise, and compelling content that consistently improves the quality and quantity of brand storytelling for the NJ Lottery.

 

To succeed in this role, you should be a master storyteller, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly with multiple groups. Calendaring, graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop video ideas, scripts and storyboards; collaborate with media and production partners to translate Lottery news into engaging content supporting a range of product and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure production partners are delivering quality work as assigned within agreed timelines and approved budgets.
  • Review and manage the approvals for agency produced social media assets and other campaign elements. Ensure that language and messaging is accurate, compliant and on-brand across all channels.
  • Manage a year-long content production budget.
  • Willingness to appear in developed content (static and video) and occasionally live streamed events.
  • Contribute strategically to the long-term vision of the brand, taking direction from senior management on projects as well as working independently.
  • Participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
     

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field or equivalent experience. 
  • 4-6 years of related experience required
