Main Purpose of Role

This role will be responsible for delivery of accurate and timely demand forecasts, achieving consensus through the DMR process enabling the market & Global supply chain operation to maximize Hasbro’s profit & customer service. This will include creating, phasing and maintaining a 24-month rolling consensus forecast in collaboration with internal partners such as Sales, Marketing, Finance and Management teams.  This role will also be suggesting process improvements and efficiencies in demand planning process & capabilities.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Main responsibility is to maintain the Consensus Forecast at the product reference on a rolling 12 to 24-month basis for selected responsibility area within the agreed demand planning tool.
  • Generate and review baseline forecast using statistical models, causal models, and product life cycle patterns. Provide clear recommendation for an unconstrained demand forecast over all brands/items.
    • Create/share fact-based assumptions for potential demand outliers to challenge and align with Marketing /Sales input. Collect and challenge Sales and Market Intelligence for input into forecast.
    • Maintain key user parameters in the forecasting tool.
    • Update the new forecast into the forecasting system.
    • Ensure accurate monthly phasing of Forecast.
    • Outlier correction and cleansing history for better statistical forecast outputs.
    • Analyse and refine the demand signal used for the forecasting tools.
  • Response for maintaining forecast and requisitions of product assortment waves on forecasting tool, based on requirements from Sales & Marketing.
  • Liaise with Market Supply planner to proactively communicate demand changes impacting inventory and service.
  • Work with Marketing to identify the products to be forecasted and convert annual Forecasts into phased forecasts, based on release dates and promotions (forecast enrichment conversations)
  • Work with Sales to use customer plans and input into forecasting tools (forecast enrichment conversations).
  • Ensure compliance with the global forecasting calendar.
  • Contribute to demand data integrity and address potential issues to the appropriate function.
  • KPI tracking and demand error correction with relevant RCAs (root cause analysis).
  • Inform functions (Planning, Supply, Business) of main forecast assumption and changes.
  • Provide reports required for the local demand management processes.
  • Contribute to Capacity Planning with demand forecast scenarios.
  • Manage the deviation of monthly/weekly Actual Sales vs Forecast and apply forecast changes based on historical performance

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management
  • 5 years experience in Demand Planning (highly skilled).
  • Experience in working with Business/Sales teams.
  • Experience working in an international matrix environment 
  • Proficient with Demand Planning Tools and  Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel skills and analytical approach to data.
  • Ability to effectively utilize tools to monitor performance and effectiveness.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills. 
  • Team player and thinker in terms of solutions derived from sound analysis.
  • Flexible, self-starter with a high degree of independence.
  • Excellent ability to work and communicate in multi-functional teams with multiple stakeholders.
