The Distribution Operations Associate - Dubbing manages the end-to-end dubbing process for Disney General Entertainment titles, from planning and scheduling to delivery. This involves coordinating with internal and external teams (global dubbing vendors and dub studios), ensuring projects meet Disney's technical and linguistic standards, and managing budgets. Responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely delivery. The role requires strong project management skills, experience with dubbing workflows, and familiarity with digital content distribution pipelines. The Associate will also uphold the department's ISO certification requirements.

Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and leading a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also leads technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The Distribution Operations team is seeking a skilled and proactive Distribution Operations Associate, Dubbing to oversee the production of dubbing projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has prior experience managing localization workflows, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of the dubbing process. This role offers the opportunity to work with global dubbing vendors, work on Disney General Entertainment titles, and contribute to global storytelling efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end dubbing process, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Planning, Programming, Mastering, Servicing, and regional offices) and external teams (global dubbing vendors and dub studios) to meet project deadlines.
  • Support the team and the supervisor by providing regular project updates and managing expectations with vendors and clients.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to Disney’s technical, linguistic, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with Business to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with global dubbing vendors, dubbing studios, and Disney regional offices to ensure On-Time and Right-First-Time delivery. 
  • Monitor vendor spent from project start to finish to stay on budget.
  • Troubleshoot and manage rejection from clients and streaming platforms, perform root cause analysis, fix the reported issue, and oversee redelivery.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior management as needed.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of Assignment of Rights.
  • Understand digital content distribution pipelines and technology including EHV, TVOD, SVOD, AVOD, PayTV, Hotels, etc.
  • Uphold the department’s ISO certification requirements, ensuring compliance through continuous process improvement and monitoring of metrics.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in dubbing, localization, media project management, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of dubbing workflows, including lip-syncing, voice recording, and audio post-production.
  • Proficiency with project management tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with multiple languages and cultural nuances is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multilingual dubbing projects.
  • Knowledge of digital distribution supply chain workflow.
  • Working experience at dubbing studio or vendor
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

The hiring range for this position in California is $77,900 to $95,100 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
