We are currently seeking an Editorial Specialist for a prominent financial client in Downtown Los Angeles. This is a 6+ month contract position with a hybrid schedule, requiring 3 days onsite each week.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the marketing team by ensuring the delivery of high-quality content across both print and digital platforms. As an Editorial Specialist, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage content revisions, and help maintain compliance with industry regulations. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact marketing campaigns while ensuring the materials you produce align with the company’s brand standards and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Review & Editing: Copyedit and proofread marketing materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in tone and style. You’ll verify facts and ensure all materials comply with regulatory disclosure requirements.
  • Content Updates: Update materials to reflect the latest data, statistics, and regulatory changes. You’ll ensure content is compliant, error-free, and meets all size and formatting constraints across both digital and print platforms.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and apply updates to compliance language, ensuring all materials adhere to legal and regulatory standards. You’ll assess and revise existing content as needed to remain in compliance.
  • Style Consistency: Stay current on any updates to style guides and apply them to maintain consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
  • Research & Data Assistance: Assist in content development by conducting research, gathering data, and providing approved backup materials for fact-checking purposes.
  • Content Development & Liaison: Support story development and rewrite materials for different audiences. You will also act as a liaison with external agencies to ensure that all content meets review and approval standards.

Qualifications:

  • Strong editorial skills with a keen understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style guides.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel for basic data input, sorting, and chart manipulation (preferred).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • 1-3 years of editorial experience in a professional setting.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the assignment must last a minimum of 10 weeks.
